Not Yet

It is not yet time to take up arms against a tyrannical government which protects and maintains as legal the right to kill children in the womb. It is not yet time to get violent with the doctors, who have sworn an oath to never harm, yet know the anatomy of a child at 12 weeks old and agree to kill in a medically sanctioned fashion as the request of the ill-informed mother who believes the child is still simply “tissue”. Sometimes this killing occurs into the second and third trimester, even occasionally when the baby is being delivered. Infanticide is therefore the “Decided law of the land”.

Almost four thousand babies die every day from doctor assisted killings. Our constitution recognizes the self-evident fact that every human has the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The question is, when a women is pregnant, is the “fetus” inside her womb a person? There are three possible answers, “yes”, “no” and “partially”.

Unfortunately, the last answer is impossible. There is no mid-path between human and tissue. There is no continuum of humanness. Things that are on a continuum are so, because they are based upon something that is not on a continuum. For example, an apple can be small, sweet, green, red and many other characteristics, all of which can be on a continuum. Yet the apple is still an apple. It can be half an apple, it can be the skin of an apple. Yet the apple is still an apple. Redness can go from less to more, but the apple cannot.

This is the case with a human. He/She can be small, large smart, stupid, pretty, ugly, young, old, defenseless, powerful, all of these characteristics can fall somewhere on a continuum. But humanness itself, is not something that can possibly fall somewhere in between. You are human or you are not human. This is both philosophically sound and scientifically true. Humans have 46 chromosomes. The baby in the womb has 46 chromosomes. Humans have a brain, fingers, a beating heart, feel pain, move to get comfortable and all the humans that exist have been 10 weeks old in their development and at 10 weeks had all these characteristics.

In the past, blacks were owned and were considered sub-human by many in comparison to whites, American Indians were killed and considered a sub-species to European settlers, Jewish people were the target of extermination by Aryan white supremacist. Now these ideas seem ridicules and even evil. But to the vast majority of the “empowered” communities at the time, these ideas at the time were either tolerated, embraced or rather weakly denied by some.

We are now in a similar situation. Even those against abortion are apathetic at best. It seems, deep down, even the opponents of abortion think of the fetus as on it’s way to humanness. Otherwise, we would have a revolution against tyranny or an insurgency against the mass killers both politically and socially poignant.

Those of us who are against abortion have tried to educate, tried to motivate through politics and even debate the issue within our own social circles. And yet the nation is evenly split. Even the side that is against abortion is “tolerant” of the opposing view point. But how can this be acceptable? If the “fetus” is human, and all humans are endowed with value equally, (Some of the more vulnerable are owed stronger defense against harm), then why all the apathy? Why do candidates who oppose abortion, have to keep it quiet in order to get elected? Why do we all just sit around and do nothing to stop the practice of this mass killing and let’s admit it, huge moral sin within our society?

Not yet, but there is a time coming when the babies who have no voice, deserve some of us to stand up and do whatever needs to be done to stop the practice of abortion, to stop the killing of small, young human beings by their own mothers doctors.

Was the civil war a moral war? Was the American Revolution the right thing to do? Was the campaign against Germany, even the bombing of civilian towns morally acceptable or even morally obligatory? I think the answer is yes. “For evil to abound”, said Winston Churchill, “all that is needed is for good men to do nothing”.

The American government, with the leadership of the Democrats, have made it a huge crime to protest against abortion. Abortion has become an entrenched right that we all have allowed to prevail. Are we not all guilty by our lack of action? Have we become co-conspirators with this evil generation of killers. Are we not even worse then the Nazi’s (more babies have been killed in the USA then Jews in Germany)?

It is illegal to promote violence in any way, but the day is coming when it will be more evil to delay it any longer. Some have said, violence will not solve anything, they say “ it would be OK if it would work, but it will just turn the supporters of abortion against the pro lifers even more”. I say, so what? They are already against us, and meanwhile the babies die.

If abortion doctors where suddenly being beat up or killed covertly, everywhere in the United States, the availability of abortions would plummet and the price  would to go way up. Ultimately, the lesser of two evils would prevail. Doctors would change professions and some would die. But they should know better.

They are liable because of all people, they know, or should know, the fetus in not a piece of tissue. They re-assemble the bodies of the killed babies to make sure all the parts are out of the mother after the abortion. They should, someday soon, not now, be given one warning and then summarily beat up and if necessary, killed in the defense of the innocent babies they are killing.

The Supreme court justices that rule in favor of abortion someday, not yet, should just be removed by force, the senators that vote for the killing of babies should someday, not yet, be beat up, or if needed, killed and the government agents that react to stop the pro life insurgency should, some day, not yet, be opposed with force. In other words, they need to stop killing the innocent babies or supporting the practice thereof.

Choose sides on the issue, and let a civil war end the debate. It would be better to become violent, to kill or to be killed in the defense of these babies, then to go to the judgment having done nothing. What we are doing now is not working. The status quo is soaked in evil and is similar to the way the German citizens working on the train tracks and packaging the gas canisters in Germany during the war. They knew, and didn’t really care. Is that us now? I think so. We are afraid of the government and shrink back in apathy while the babies die.

The French resistance was morally right in assassinating the German occupiers in the war of liberation. That was about the right to freedom, how much more is the right for the babies to live, a reason to someday justify violence, not now, but if needed?

Maybe there are some more passive actions that could work first. Martin Luther King promoted peaceful defiance. But the government has passed such harsh long-term sentences for protestors that this method has become ineffective in reality because of the lack of willing victims to suffer the injustice to change the system. If we had a flood of protestors willing to overwhelm the system, then the logic and moral supremacy of such a tactic would be clear. So we first must attempt to enlist a massive army willing to suffer injustice on behalf of the babies.

If I do it by myself, it may alleviate some of my current guilt, but would do nothing to stop the evil massacre. So the higher good is to work towards a real method to cut the number of deaths by a significant number.

But time is of the essence, and there are so few truly pro-life advocates that, unfortunately, it is going to take a small but dedicated violent resistance to slow the holocaust of dead babies. The time is not yet, but is coming soon, when those of good conscious and clear thought must rise up in the tradition of the hero’s in the past who recognized tyranny and risked their very lives to stop it. John Adams said, “give me liberty or give me death”. Where are the future leaders of this small but clear movement willing to end the immoral, evil and disgusting slaughter of innocent babies who themselves don’t just need freedom, they need life. May the babies survive the safety of their own mother’s womb while we debate what to do.

But right now, is the time to do nothing, be comfortable, don't risk your freedom, don't cause a bad image, don't think to deeply, no jumping to conclusions or emotional decision making, not yet.
